The international latin dance syllabus consists of the Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive.
Other popular latin dances include Salsa, Mambo, Bachata, Merengue, and Rueda to name a few. These dances are often referred to as “street” dances because, there is no universal syllabus developed for learning these dances. Due to the popularity of these street dances we include them in our definition of latin dances.
Both Cynthia and Shawn have trained internationally in multiple styles of partner dancing including social and international styles. We incorporate everything we have learned to give our students the best of both worlds. Enough international style and technique to look great on the dance floor, but keep the containment of social dancing involved. This allows our students to go out in any venue and dance with confidence.
